Midnight Sun Mining Corp. (TSXV: MMA | OTCQX: MDNGF) has announced another significant expansion of its Dumbwa copper discovery in Zambia, with ongoing drilling confirming that the mineralised system now extends at least 6.7 kilometres along strike. The latest results reinforce Dumbwa’s potential as one of the country’s emerging large-scale near-surface copper discoveries.

The company has now completed more than 260 drill holes, totalling 56,855 metres, as part of its extensive exploration campaign. With five drill rigs currently operating, exploration continues to advance northward while simultaneously testing the eastern and western extents of the deposit, where copper mineralisation remains open.

Recent drilling has returned encouraging copper intercepts, including 21.6 metres grading 0.42% copper, 13.7 metres at 0.51% copper, and 25.0 metres at 0.38% copper. These results continue to demonstrate broad zones of near-surface sulphide copper mineralisation and further validate the continuity of the Dumbwa system.

According to the company, drilling has outlined a substantial copper deposit characterised by a higher-grade central corridor surrounded by a much broader mineralised envelope. This geological model suggests considerable upside potential, with ongoing drilling expected to further expand both the higher-grade core and the overall mineralised footprint.

Midnight Sun Mining President and Chief Executive Officer Al Fabbro said the latest results continue to highlight the scale and consistency of the discovery.

“Our drilling continues to demonstrate the scale and continuity of the Dumbwa system, which now extends at least 6.7 kilometres along strike. As we move north of the disruption zone, we are once again encountering strong copper mineralisation, including thick intervals within the higher-grade core of the deposit.”

The company noted that drilling is still being conducted on relatively wide spacing, meaning substantial areas of the system remain to be tested in greater detail. As exploration progresses, each new round of drilling is improving the geological understanding of the deposit, refining its shape, continuity and overall size.

Future exploration will focus on extending the high-grade central corridor while continuing to delineate the broader mineralised shell. Additional drilling is also planned to test open extensions in multiple directions, where the company believes there is strong potential to further increase the resource footprint.

The continued expansion of Dumbwa comes at a time when global demand for copper is accelerating, driven by electrification, renewable energy development and growing investment in critical minerals. Zambia, one of Africa’s leading copper producers, remains a key destination for exploration investment, and Midnight Sun Mining’s ongoing success at Dumbwa further strengthens the country’s pipeline of future copper projects.

With multiple rigs continuing to drill and mineralisation remaining open along strike and at depth, the Dumbwa copper system is emerging as one of the most promising exploration projects in the region, with considerable potential for further resource growth.
