THE National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) has announced that the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development has authorised a road toll increment for selected vehicle classes, effective January 1, 2026. On Tuesday, NRFA retracted the proposed increase in toll fees to allow for the signing of the required Statutory Instruments, after earlier announcing that road tolls for certain vehicle categories would increase. According to the latest statement, the NRFA Public Relations Unit revealed that the approved increment is contained in Statutory Instrument No. 100 of 2025, Statutory Instrument No. 101 of 2025 and Statutory Instrument No. 102 of 2025, which have since been published in the government gazette.
